Happy is a vintage inspired home and lifestyle ceramics line.
Heather
Arndt is an artist, designer, and native Angelino. She works with ceramics,
mixed media painting, reclaimed wood and succulents. Her line evolved from her
home decor store boutique and art gallery space, "Happy”. She lives and
works with her husband and daughter in Los Angeles.
After earning a Bachelors of Fine Art at San Diego State, Heather began
designing footwear for companies such as DC, Hurley and Vans. In love with
design and travel, she spent 15 years creating footwear and accessories for
many of California’s skate and surf brands. In that time she also expanded her
love of art making and earned her Master’s in Fine Art from Claremont Graduate
University.
In 2008, she opened a Los Angeles based gallery and home decor boutique store.
More importantly through the art gallery she built a community of artists and
designers from the entire Southern California area, who she met through her
role in organizing of the seminal group show “Supersonic”. After 3 years in
retail and running a gallery, she decided to focus in on making and teaching
art.
She is now painting, designing ceramic pieces for her line happy los angeles,
creating and consulting with creative businesses to help them grow.
Heather travels for inspiration, writes for fun, and hikes the hills of
Griffith Park to stay sane.
